16th Nov 2010 - Two's Company "Tree's" a Crowd !!!

It's been a few weeks since our last blog but only because we have all been sooooo busy.

Still got lots to do and still getting lots done!

Well it's official - St. Bernard's Primary now has its very own orchard!

We have been chasing the light and braving the elements every Tuesday night but we have finally done it.

Last week we planted 30 mixed copse, hedge and fruit trees to create an avenue along the back playground and this week we planted a variety of mature apple, plum and cherry trees at the side playground.

Mr Pisaneschi and 'Joe' also managed to dig the foundations for our recycled bottle greenhouse so hopefully next week we'll get the posts erected and our very own 'winter garden' assembled. Yahoo!

Our living Willow Dome is due to arrive in two weeks so hopefully we'll manage to get our winter onions, asparagus purple passions and our rhubarb crowns in before then if Jack Frost would just bear with us for a few more weeks.

Happy Winter Tidying.
